Went in on Monday night and got sat right away. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was tasty, came out quick and good portions. Cute spot with great little patio area. The reason for only 3 stars for atmosphere was the live music was SO loud we were literally shouting to try to talk. The live music is nice, but you need to be able to have a conversation as well.

Wonderful mussels (with extensive menu of mussels) !! Flew into DC during a blizzard and was lucky enough to stumble on Augie’s our first night! A perfect warm sanctuary for the cold! Really enjoyed the beet salad and hamburger as well

Came here for the restaurant week deal which included an app, entree, and dessert. My entire group enjoyed their meal and we had a great time! Really cool atmosphere for a good meal and good drinks. Definitely recommend the hummus which I was surprised I liked over the wings! Really tasty. The steak was good but I didn’t absolutely love the ratio of meat to frites, but the fries were delicious boardwalk style. Favorite part was hands down the chocolate cake! I’ve got a crazy sweet tooth and it was the perfect way to end the meal.

Loved this place!! What a great concept for two of my favorite things -- mussels and beer! Service here, from the entire, but small lunch staff, was par excellence! Patrick especially went full out to satisfy our needs. The bar person, the serving/busing staff, and the chef were also wonderful - polite and caring. The chef was even willing to help with a special restrictive diet request so I could eat their excellent soup made with sausage, legumes, and kale--nicely spicy! We were able to enjoy the amazing beer garten to dine al fresco, but the charming interior was pretty quiet due to the gorgeous weather. The majority of patrons were outside either at the double-sided indoor/outdoor bar or sitting at long, substantial picnic style-tables. There is even a counter space area built around a tree. I highly recommend this pub/beergarten-style restaurant! We will definitely return the next time we visit Alexandria

This is my favorite hangout on King Street when I want something low-key. They’ve got a huge list of appetizers—I usually fill up on those before I even think about an entrée. The outdoor patio has such a great vibe with big tables for sharing, and most of the time there’s live music that makes it even better. Perfect spot for drinks, apps, and a laid-back night out.

I had a free weekend, so hubby and I traveled to Alexandria Va for a date night. Angie's did not disappoint on any level! There was a bit of a wait, but the staff saw us trying to decide on what to do and quickly found us a seat upstairs. The upstairs bar had two exceptional service specialists, Mike and Denzel. They made sure we were well taken care of and answered all of our questions while we decided on our meal. The food was delicious and made us want to come back and try other selections! We appreciate the excellent service and look forward to our next visit!

Augie’s is an absolute gem. Cozy, energetic, and effortlessly cool, it’s the kind of place that nails both vibe and execution. But the real reason this spot deserves five stars is the bartender, Thomas. Thomas is next-level. Friendly, sharp, and incredibly attentive, he makes the bar feel welcoming without ever being overbearing. And let’s talk about the pours — the most generous glass of bubbly I’ve had in a long time. No skimpy splash here, just a beautifully filled glass that made the night instantly better. Every drink he makes is balanced, thoughtful, and clearly crafted by someone who takes pride in their work. Beyond the drinks, Thomas brings great energy, remembers people, and genuinely elevates the entire experience. Service like this is rare, and it’s what keeps you coming back. If you’re heading to Augie’s, do yourself a favor and sit at the bar with Thomas — phenomenal drinks, exceptional service, and a guaranteed great time.

Place was slammed on a Monday night. We still found a table and the service was ok. I’m a mussels newbie, but I felt you don’t get much for your money. I had the classic ones, but maybe I should upgrade next time. Fries and dips is a fun addition.
